Spring Branch, TX

If everything is bigger in Texas, the Nix family knew their backyard Hill Country retreat could be no exception.
The Nixes bought their home in Spring Branch partly because the outdoor patio presented endless design opportunities for hosting the entire family for Texas-sized food and fun. With a swimming pool, fountain and outdoor fireplace already installed, Mr. Nix called Brandy at BBQGuys.com to help design the rest of his ranch retreat.

Lion 32" Gas Grill
Mr. Nix - a master griller and grandfather of five - needed an outdoor kitchen that combined durability and plenty of storage, so he and Brandy brought in the big guns of the Lion 32" Gas Grill, complete with stainless steel doors and drawers for added space. It’s not a Texas barbeque without heaping racks of slow-smoked ribs, and the Primo Charcoal Smoker has enough room for (almost) the whole hog.

Solaire Bartending Center
Not to be outdone by her husband, Mrs. Nix loves cooking up breakfast with the outdoor kitchen’s built-in griddle whenever the grandkids sleep over. Across the patio, the Solaire Bartending Center gives adults the perfect station for mixing up pitchers of spiked Texas tea, and a set of bar stools provides the perfect place for them to keep their balance.

Summer Oasis
With the outdoor kitchen finished and the Southern summer well underway, Mr. and Mrs. Nix plan to host the next family reunion in the comfort of their Hill Country Retreat.
