The Simmonses live nestled away in the beautiful woods of New Caney, TX on 5 acres of land. What started out as a small hobby with the purchase of a Traeger Pellet Grill, has turned into a new passion for Gene.
They spend any free time they have at home relaxing outdoors with their large furry family, which consists of 7 dogs and 1 cat and they enjoy entertaining, so building an outdoor kitchen had always been a dream of theirs.
The Simmons family wanted to transform their backyard into what Gene calls a “beautiful dream garden.” When they were ready to make their dream come true they took the first step and called the experts at BBQGuys.

Gene enjoys cooking low and slow on his Traeger, but to expand his outdoor space he knew he needed a built-in gas grill. After doing research, and speaking with the our experts he chose the Blaze 32 inch Gas Grill and Blaze LTE Double Side Burner. Since he chose to build his outdoor kitchen out of, wood, which is combustible he added a Blaze Insulated Jacket for the grill and double side burner.
Since they spend most evenings in their "dream garden" and host family gatherings and work events, they wanted to have everything they needed close by. They added a Blaze Outdoor Rated Refrigerator, Blaze Roll Out Trash Bin, Blaze Double Access Door, and Blaze Double Access Drawers. To complete the space they added a RCS Sink to make it convenient for clean-up and food prep.

Now that their outdoor kitchen is complete, they cook outside most evenings. Burgers and Chicken are some of their favorite things to grill, but they plan on expanding the menu to prepare for the big Christmas gathering they are hosting when Becky's family come to visit.
When they aren't working, you can find them in the backyard. Whether relaxing, swimming, or grilling, Gene and Becky have plans to add more to their outdoor space. Gene says the experts at BBQGuys helped him every step of the way, and their dream of having a Texas Dream Garden has become a reality.
